In 2025, MANIFEST:IO is honoured to welcome IKLECTIK as co-curators and organizers to host the first iteration in London. With over a decade in providing a safer space for artists to engage in their creative practice and critical discourse, IKLECTIK’s contributions go far beyond being a creative platform and extend into their dedication towards community.
IKLECTIK art lab is a self-funded creative platform founded in 2014 that showcases contemporary art experimental music, and artistic critical practice. In 2024, IKLECTIK were evicted from its space at Old Paradise Yard in Lambeth due to property ''development'' that would demolish the building and turn it into office spaces. Since then, IKLECTIK has not let this halt their stride, hosting events across Europe including at Berlin's Mahalla together with Kiezsalon, and being recently awarded a Fellowship at Goldsmiths, University of London.
IKLECTIK's story and commitment to the cultural landscape, was one of the inspirations for this year's theme towards Fragmenting Places, Imagined Spaces, recognizing that many clubs and artistic platforms in Berlin are facing an all too familiar story.
In a city that is increasingly pushing its creatives out, MANIFEST:IO London invites participants from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland to critically engage with media, share their artistic practices, and connect and share their stories of community building. MANIFEST:IO London places an emphasis on Connection, Community, and Play.
MANIFEST:IO London will take place April 11th-12th at Goldsmiths' beautiful St. James' Hatcham Church, which houses an immersive room. Tickets are available now.
